Fresh landslides hit Bududa district on Tuesday last week, leaving at least 6 people dead and over 400 people homeless. The five counties which were affected by the recent landslides are ; Buwali, Bukalasi, Bundesi, Bumayoka and Bubiita. There have been fears of other landslides after new cracks were seen in several villages.

The items delivered on Wednesday  at Buwali Primary school to the landslide victims included; jerrycans, cooking  utensils, mosquito nets, clothes, shoes and  blankets .

Brian Mbasa, the MTN manager who presented the items said that they have done this as part of their corporate social responsibility since 2010.

The woman Member of Parliament for Bududa, Justine Kayiza says the help coming from various individuals and organizations brings hope to the affected people.

The district chairperson for Bududa, Wilson Watila earlier at a function where government provided relief items in terms of posho and beans, said they were not enough and called on other companies and non-government organisations to come to the aid of the victims of the landslide.
