Bundibugyo, Uganda – A massive landslide following a heavy downpour this afternoon has cut off roads in the western Uganda district of Bundibugyo.
According to the Uganda Red Cross, the areas affected include Bundibugyo Town council (Hakibale, Kabale and Katanga villages) Tokwe S/County (Hakitala and Bundirume villages) Busaru Subcounty (Busengerwa and Bugombwa villages) Bubukwanga (Humya) and Bukonzo S/county (Huhundu vIllage).
“Assessment still on-going to determine the relief needed,” Irene Nakasiita the Head of Communications and Public Relations said in a statement.
