Manafwa, Uganda – Manafwa River in eastern Uganda has burst its banks on Friday evening Tindi and Kanyenya areas.
According to the Head of Publications and Communications, Uganda Red Cross, Irene Nakasiita the flooded water has also cut off Doho P/S and Dojo Health Centre.
“Our team conducting assessment is equally challenged since the rain is continuing and some places cut off and inaccessible,” Nakasiita wrote.

Pictures released by Red Cross show homes and gardens immersed in floods from the river.
Meanwhile the Resident District Commissioner for Manafwa District, Ahamada Washaka posted on his Facebook page warning all those using Mbale- Tororo road.
“All road users on Mbale-Tororo road are informed that all rivers and streams have burst. A truck carrying goods has been swept by River Nakailira at Mile 4 near Noor Islamic Institute,” Washaka wrote.
